As of now, Equipment Vice President Mikael Persson and Parts and Distribution Vice President Magnus Berg have augmented the ranks of the leadership at UniCarriers. The international manufacturer of industrial trucks has created the positions in order to expand further the product management and aftermarket divisions. In future, both managers will primarily drive forward technical support and the sale of spare parts.

“The focus of my work is on technical support over the entire lifecycle of a forklift: starting with consulting through commissioning to after-sales service. My tasks also include increasing product profitability and expanding our market position,” Mikael Persson describes his new position as Equipment Vice President. He is supported in this by a team of 20. Furthermore, the 46-year-old is responsible for expanding the product range in close co-operation with the parts and distribution division. Before moving to UniCarriers Europe, his roles included those of Director Business of Development, Supply Chain Manager and Vice President at Kalmar.

Parts and Distribution Vice President Magnus Berg is also new at the top of UniCarriers Europe. Together with his team of 40, he fulfils two main functions: ensuring deliveries of spare parts, and constant expansion of the range of parts. “In my position, as well as for parts product management, I am also responsible for expanding the range of services for our customers,” Magnus Berg explains. In addition, he looks after the areas of offer, pricing and sales, and he is in close contact with the suppliers. Magnus Berg has 15 years of professional experience in logistics, accumulated at Kalmar, Hiab and Cargotec.
