UniCarriers Buys Crepa Group

Written by UniCarriers, 5-feb-2014 10:49:00

UniCarriers Europe GmbH is growing: with effect from 3rd February 2014, Dutch forklift dealer Crepa Group will belong to the Company that emerged from the merger of Atlet, Nissan Forklift and TCM. With this acquisition UniCarriers, which was founded in 2011, strengthens its market position and ensures greater long-term capacity use on its European manufacturing sites. Crepa was previously part of Peinemann Holding.

UniCarriers-buys-Crepa-Group“The takeover of Crepa is very important for our strategy on the European market. In the coming months, we want to continually expand our network of distributors and dealers both in Germany and across Europe through further acquisitions,” Keiji Ikeda, President of UniCarriers Europe, justifies the purchase. The Crepa group will operate as an independent company under the UniCarriers umbrella. No restructuring is planned; the management and all 175 employees will be taken on. Reasons for the present acquisition include the good market position of Crepa and the associated expansion of its distribution networks as well as the long-term higher capacity use of the factories in Sweden and Spain. In the future, Crepa will buy warehouse trucks and counterbalance trucks from here.

Crepa has operated as reseller for Catlift since 2005. Prior to this, the company worked for Nissan Forklift for 19 years. In addition to the sale of forklifts, Crepa has an extensive service and maintenance range as well as forklift leasing and short-term hire solutions. The headquarters are located in Rijswijk near Rotterdam.
