UniCarriers has been nominated for the International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award 2015 with the newly developed TERGO URS. The forklift with swivel reach fork unit is entering the race in the warehouse trucks category. The special feature of the forklift is its high level of flexibility in working use: the TERGO URS can be used both as a rail/induction-guided narrow-aisle truck and as a flexible reach truck, thus combining two truck types in one unit.
Nobuo Yoh is the new President of UniCarriers Europe GmbH based in Meerbusch near Düsseldorf. In his position, he reports directly to the head office of the international UniCarriers group in Tokyo (Japan). In addition to his office as President, Nobuo Yoh is a member of the UniCarriers group board. With his dual role, he strengthens the European position of the lift truck manufacturer within the group.
From now, the Tergo URS turret truck is augmenting the Atlet product family from UniCarriers. With this model range, UniCarriers Group offers bespoke industrial trucks for warehouse logistics. The new forklift has the smallest turning circle in its class and can operate easily and safely in warehouses with particularly narrow aisles. Moreover, it has an ergonomically optimised chassis. Individually adjustable seat height, back rest and positioning of controls provide a working environment that guarantees maximum user comfort.
Robust, efficient, versatile: UniCarriers is launching a new range of manoeuvrable high lift trucks for warehouse logistics. The PSP 125 and PSP 160 models are ideal aides for internal transport even over longer distances as well as for stacking processes at heights up to 4,190 mm (PSP 125) or 5,400 mm (PSP 160). One special feature is the low width of the forklifts, which – at only 770 mm – is narrower than a euro-pallet and facilitates storage and retrieval in confined spaces. With its compact dimensions and load capacities of 1,250 kg for lighter applications (PSP 125) and 1,600 kg for heavier loads (PSP 160), the range is extremely versatile.
Individual solutions for the European forklift market – to position itself more broadly in the counterbalance area, UniCarriers is moving the production of its GX range from Japan to Spain. From January 2015, the first forklifts in the series will roll off the production line in Pamplona. As a result of the change in production, customers will benefit from shorter delivery times, more flexible customisation of the counterbalance truck to European needs and a more economical price. Moreover, the model range scores points with the familiar, high product quality and efficient motors.
World premiere for the new multidirectional truck from international industrial truck manufacturer UniCarriers. The Tergo UFW is designed specifically for the requirements in the transport and stacking of long goods and all kind of pallet loads with the same performance as a heavy duty reach truck. To this end, the centre distance of the forks can be hydraulically enlarged as standard. The advantage: all loads can be held conveniently and transported safely. Moreover, the unique Tergo ergonomics together with excellent visibility through mast, overhead guard and pillars in accordance with the new ProVision concept, guarantees all-round vision at all times. With an additional reverse travel camera the ends of the load remain completely visible, which allows particularly precise manoeuvring of the load.
Efficiency and enhanced performance for the warehouse: UniCarriers continues to develop the Logistics Analyser. The software for optimising logistics processes now includes ancillary equipment such as conveyors and mezzanine as well as enhanced 3D functions. The analysis tool displays the material flows of customers operations even more realistically to provide opportunities to improve warehouse processes and achieve potential cost benefits. In day-to-day business, companies benefit from slimmer processes, effective staff and Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) deployment, and improved handling performance.
UniCarriers Europe GmbH is growing: with effect from 3rd February 2014, Dutch forklift dealer Crepa Group will belong to the Company that emerged from the merger of Atlet, Nissan Forklift and TCM. With this acquisition UniCarriers, which was founded in 2011, strengthens its market position and ensures greater long-term capacity use on its European manufacturing sites. Crepa was previously part of Peinemann Holding.
Tobias Laxa is the new Group Marketing Manager of UniCarriers Europe GmbH. The Atlet, Nissan Forklift and TCM brands have been trading under this name since their merger in 2012. In his position, Tobias Laxa is responsible for communicative transactions in Europe on behalf of the international manufacturer of industrial trucks. His duties include strategic development of the marketing and operational implementation of the measures. To this end, he co-ordinates the marketing of all eight European branches of UniCarriers.
